The Ideal Place for a Golf Break in the Dordogne.
A Spectacular 27-Hole Golf Course.
The course opened in 1992 and was designed by Donald Steel, who is considered one of the very best “natural” golf course architects. Arranged in three 9-hole loops, giving three 18-hole combinations, our golf course was rated in the top ten courses in South West France. Other golf facilities include a 6-hole academy course, a covered driving range, practice greens and bunkers as well as resident golf Professionals, making Vigiers an ideal place to begin or improve your game.
Two Restaurants within yards of the Hotel.

When asked by Golf World to name his favourite hole from his long career, Donald Steel chose the eighteenth at Château des Vigiers, with its dog-leg over a ridge for the second shot over the lake on to the green; finishing in front of the Château. It was subsequently described in Golf World under the heading “Vintage Finale”.
With the addition of the new 9-hole course, Vigier golfers now experience a much wider variety of playing conditions. The new course opened in early 2008, and integrates into the existing 18 hole course to form 3 new 9-hole courses: “La Vallée”, “Le Lac”, “Les Vignes”. Golfers can now play three different configurations of 18-holes, each with different challenges and gradients.

“Great stay at this golfing hotel”
“We have stayed at The Chateau but opted this time for the golf accommodation which was excellent, large well laid out rooms, big bathrooms, sound proofing, well decorated. The golf is even better now that this course has aged since our first visit.”
“Brilliant golf, spa less so”
“We visited in August 14. The boys loved their golf round and really enjoyed the views of the chateaux and the country side. The golf was very good. We had a massage which was good but the spa was very small and not to the same standard as the golf course. We had a nice coffee on the terrace of the brasserie.”
Two uniquely different hotel experiences.
