The Dordogne is synonymous with food and drink and the numerous markets selling the local specialities are among the region’s star attractions.
Stock up on foie gras, walnuts and truffles, cheeses and fruits of the vine at the markets in Bergerac (25 minutes away) on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Lalinde on Thursdays, Libourne on Fridays and Sarlat on Saturdays.
Many of our local villages have a weekly market and they are the best place to experience french living and its wonderful produce. Local specialities include Foie Gras, truffles, prunes, walnuts.
